Whether you’ve got kids who can’t wait to dress up and go trick or treating or you’re a big kid yourself and love the occasion, there’s something for everyone going on in Cheltenham this Halloween.
Primrose Vale Halloween Trail
Perfect for kids, Primrose Vale Farm Shop are hosting their annual Halloween Trail. Featuring tricky tasks and puzzles, as well as some dark tunnels, the trail is more on the fun side of Halloween rather than the scary side. There’s a prize for everyone who completes the course, and there’s a barn full of pumpkins waiting at the end if you need to pick yours up ready for the 31st!
Cotswolds Ghost Tours
With tours in Prestbury and Cheltenham, these walks are not for the faint of heart.
From haunted pubs and apparitions in Prestbury, to murders and the story behind “The Woman in Black” in Cheltenham, these tours are led by experts in the history of the areas. Each tour will be running on selected dates including Halloween evening, prime time for some ghostly occurrences.
Devil Glow Mud Run
If you fancy challenging yourself this Halloween, the already imposing Devil Mud Run is back in Cheltenham. But to make things even harder this time around, they’re holding the run at night.
Glow sticks, bright clothes and maybe a dash of UV paint may be needed if you want to battle through the obstacles, which include the aptly named “Satan’s Steps” and the demanding “Ice Dip”. The run takes place on Saturday 27th October in the Cotswold Hills near Cheltenham.
Halloween Charity Ball
On Saturday 3rd November, DoubleTree hotel in Cheltenham are hosting their very own Halloween Ball to raise money for the cancer support charity Maggie’s.
Fancy dress is encouraged and there’ll be a Mexican buffet, along with plenty of drinks and a raffle, all to fundraise for a good cause.
Halloween Films at the Cheltenham Playhouse
There’s not much better than a scary movie at Halloween, and Cheltenham Playhouse have some great films lined up.
They’ll be showing cult classics from comedy horrors like Young Frankenstein and Shaun of the Dead, to quintessential vampire movies in Dracula and The Lost Boys.Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
