The school summer holidays are upon us, and here at The Local Answer we know it can be a challenge to keep the family entertained when school is out.
So we’ve put together a handy guide of the best things to do in each of our five publication areas – Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, North Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds – in the coming months.
Fantasy Forest at Sudeley Castle and Gardens
On Saturday 20th July until Sunday 21st July, Winchcombe’s Sudeley Castle will be offering workshops and shows on all-things fantasy and visitors are welcome to dress up and become some of their favourite characters.
With all ages welcome, this event is sure to transform the castle and gardens into an impressive and exciting fantasy world.

Perfect for all the family, trails will be made available from Saturday 20th July until Thursday 8th August and will provide you with the opportunity to explore the manor and the wildlife that surrounds it.
Later in the holiday period, there will also be a wand making workshop for all budding young wizards on Wednesday 28th August where those over 5 years old can learn greenwood working techniques to craft their own piece of magic to then take home.
