The Barn Theatre has revealed the final two performers for their inaugural ‘Fringe at the Barn’ event.
The four-day event will feature performances from some of the leading stars from this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world. Last week The Local Answer revealed the first two performers to appear at ‘Fringe at the Barn’ and now the Cirencester theatre has announced the remaining acts that will performing at next month’s four-day celebration of comedy and theatre.
Magician Tom Brace and comedian Tamar Broadbent were the first two acts confirmed with two further acts now added to the list. ‘Spontaneous Potter’, an improvised Harry Potter theatre group will be bringing their award-winning act to the Cirencester theatre on the 15th of September. Completing the quartet of performers is comedian Tom Neenan whose show at the Edinburgh Fringe received plenty of plaudits.
“We’re absolutely delighted to confirm the line-up for our very first ‘Fringe at the Barn,” said Iwan Lewis, Artistic Director of the Barn Theatre. “’Spontaneous Potter’ were one of the real stand-out acts I saw up in Edinburgh. They perform entirely improvised Harry Potter themed comedy shows based on an audience suggestion of a title. They put on a fantastic show and I’m very excited to welcome them to the theatre on Saturday 15th September,” he added.
Comedian Tom Neenan is one of the rising stars of the UK comedy scene so his performance on Thursday 13th September will no doubt prove popular. Continued Iwan: “Tom is an extremely talented up-and-coming comedian and we’re extremely excited to see him on stage at the Barn Theatre. He earned plenty of five-star reviews for his Edinburgh show, he’s a superb performer and one I’m sure our audiences will really enjoy.”
The performers at ‘Fringe at the Barn’ were selected by Iwan Lewis who spent a weekend in the Scottish capital watching 35 shows. Iwan continued: “The ‘Fringe at the Barn’ event is something we hope to run every year. We’re bringing four of the best acts from the Edinburgh Fringe down to Cirencester so that the people who didn’t get the opportunity to get up to Edinburgh can enjoy seeing some top-class performances.”Copyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
