Kites Corner will host the Summer Fete

The James Hopkins Trust is a Gloucestershire based charity that provides respite and care for children with life changing and life-threatening conditions.

Based at their purpose built multi-sensory respite centre Kites Corner in Barnwood, Gloucester, the charity provides specially trained nurses to care for over 100 children from around the county, and also has safe playrooms and gardens for the children to enjoy.

And on Sunday 14th July, from 1pm to 5pm, the Trust will be holding their annual Summer Fete at Kites Corner.

The day will see an array games and stalls on offer for visitors to enjoy, as well as a barbeque, ice cream and plenty of other refreshments.

Entry is £1 for adults and free for kids, with some very special visitors also set to appear.

2019 marks the Trust’s 30th anniversary, after being founded in 1989 by Vance and Heather Hopkins, whose son James sadly passed away at 20 months old after suffering from a rare neuro-muscular disease.

The James Hopkins Trust were also the lucky winners of The Local Answer’s Charity Giveaway, winning £2,000 after being nominated by their supporters.
