Founded in 1984, Glevum Windows continues to be a family-run business that has gone from strength to strength over the past four decades. Marketing Director Antony Heath tells us: “Our ethos is ‘To do each job as you would want it done in your own home’. Despite being a large company employing 60-80 staff over multiple departments, we work closely with each other as ‘Team Glevum’ to deliver a high-quality service to our clients. We believe in the personal, face-to-face approach. There is no hiding behind a phone or website – the customer gets to see who they are dealing with and ask any questions they have in person, not via a FAQ page on a website.”

Glevum supplies and installs quality windows, doors, conservatories, and conservatory roof upgrades. They have an extensive showroom and one of the south west’s largest outdoor Conservatory Villages, located in Broadoak in Gloucestershire. Working with customers to enhance and protect their homes, they pride themselves on their attention to detail and the number of word-of-mouth referrals they receive.

It’s no wonder, then, that the company also has an impressive track record of winning awards. From the ‘UK Conservatory Company of the Year’ award in 2000, to more recent successes like ‘Business of the Year’ in both the Best of Gloucester Awards and the Gloucestershire Business Awards in 2017, Glevum have won many accolades over the years.

This year, they’ve been shortlisted in multiple categories at the Glass & Glazing Installer Awards and the Circle 2 Success Business awards.

Continued work towards environmental sustainability is at the forefront of Glevum’s plans for the future. Antony explains: “Our head office, showroom and Conservatory Village all already benefit from solar panels and EV charging points, and we’ll soon be introducing more EV vehicles to our fleet.

“We’ll also be introducing ‘Closed Loop Recycling’, which not only means full recycling of our installation waste back into our industry, but also reduced waste collections, thus further reducing our carbon footprint.”

Sustainability is clearly an important factor in the company’s operations, as is their impact on their local communities. Glevum supports local charities such as The Pied Piper Appeal and The Forest Foodbank with regular donations, as well as ad-hoc donations and sponsorships to other charities and sports clubs throughout the year.

They also participate in ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ each year, a campaign organised by Save the Children that raises money for some of the UK’s most disadvantaged children.
