The team at Calcot Manor says the guiding principles of the new treehouses have been cosiness and comfort, as well as excitement and adventure
Luxury hotel Calcot Manor & Spa has created a new way for visitors to experience the Cotswolds countryside, with the launch of two treehouses.
The 35-bedroom hotel has built up a loyal following for mixing spa indulgence with a connection to nature in its 220 acres of rewilded Cotswolds landscape.
Its newest £1.5 million investment in the treehouses, which opened on Wednesday 17th June 2026, signals a confident move towards helping visitors connect with the natural beauty of the area.
The hotel, near Tetbury, is nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. The new treehouses sit just beyond the main hotel, overlooking fields, surrounded by oxeye daisies, with views across the countryside.
During the day, guests can soak up birdsong in the surrounding tree canopy, while in the evening they can wind down in a private sauna on the balcony.
The wooden clad treehouses are designed for four people, with a master bedroom and loft-style twin room. A cosy living area opens onto a private deck complete with outdoor seating along with the private sauna.
Local artisan specialists have helped to ensure the new hotel space looks its best and has an authentic feel of the Cotswolds.
Interiors come from Gloucester interior designer, Cathy Birtles, who oversees all of the interiors across the hotel.
She's drawn inspiration from the biodiversity of Calcot’s rewilded farmland, as well as the colours, sights and sounds of the woodland at nearby Westonbirt Arboretum. Many of the finishing touches have been sourced from the shop at the arboretum, supplied by local craftsmen.
Fabrics include a mix from Sarah Hardaker using linens woven in Scotland and printed locally, as well as from Lewis and Wood in Woodchester and Tinsmith in Ledbury.
Artworks feature wildlife woodcut prints from Nat Morley in Stroud. While furniture, mirrors, antiques and ceramics come from Artique, Number 52, and Domestic Science in Tetbury and Nailsworth.
The treehouses are now available to book, with prices starting from £1,180.
