Cornwall – a haven of the south surrounded by sea and encapsulated by almost 300 miles of magnificent coastline. It’s hard not to fall in love with the place. Whether it brings back happy childhood memories or reignites the flames of a teenage summer fling, Cornwall is the perfect place to explore and enjoy.

When it comes to accommodation there are so many options to choose from – camping, caravanning, B&B, hotel, or you could even hire your very own beachside cottage. Whatever your preference – from roughing it in a tent to relaxing at a local hotel and spa – there’s something to fit all needs.

If you’re vacationing with the family and have youngsters to keep entertained, Padstow is one of the best places you could visit. The inner harbour is an ideal spot to pitch up with a pack of smokey bacon and a crab line, and spend hours catching crabs. But children be warned – your parents are highly likely to commandeer your kit, as this is a pastime enjoyed by people of all ages!

Sealife safaris and fishing trips are also available from Padstow Harbour and range from 1-4 hours, giving you plenty of time for other activities throughout your stay. Gift shops, ice cream and crazy golf are sure to occupy the kids for hours on end, and with plenty of beaches around there will be sandcastles and surfing galore.

Fantastic display of dramatic granite tors
For those of you that just love getting out in the wild, you’ll be spoilt for choice. As well as the aforementioned boat trips and beach walks, visitors can cycle through the rolling countryside and wonderful coastal trails, take advantage of the sea with an array of watersports (including surfing, sailing and canoeing), or even gallop along the beach by horseback.

Cornwall’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be accessed by the South West Coast Path, which provides some spectacular walks whether you’re looking for a gentle stroll or a challenging hike. Also, Bodmin Moor – located in the north west of Cornwall – is a fantastic display of dramatic granite tors that tower over the sweeping moorland. The deep river valleys and prehistoric remains will give you plenty to explore, and a hiking holiday is a perfect excuse to bring along your four-legged friends!

After all this exercise, you’ll need to refuel and there’s nothing better than a good old Cornish pasty or a delicious cream tea. Every town you visit will have an abundance of shops offering these local delicacies, so be sure to tuck in and enjoy.

Whatever you choose to do, the stunning natural landscapes, mouth- watering food, and warm and welcoming people are sure to inspire a love affair that will last forever.
