Three Cheltenham water polo players are in the hunt for a prestigious award.
Amy Berry, Tom Hunt and Charlie Brogan have been nominated for the British Swimming Water Polo Athlete of the Year.
There are six nominations in total and for Cheltenham to have half of them is something that has delighted Martyn Thomas, the team's chief coach.
"It's a tremendous achievement," he said, "it's very well deserved."
All three will be ay the British Swimming Awards which take place at Athena, Leicester, tomorrow with Thomas adding: "Tom Hunt is at present playing in Germany but he is coming back for the awards."
Amy Berry, meanwhile, has already been recognised for her efforts because she was voted Swim England Talent Athlete of the Year (across all disciplines).
The water polo section at Cheltenham Swimming and Water Polo Club has a very proud history and over the years has produced many, many fine players.
