Head coach Joe Chadwick is hoping it will be advantage Cheltenham Tennis Club after their recent name change.

They were originally known as Cheltenham Civil Service Tennis Club with Chadwick explaining:  “It’s a bit of a rebranding, hopefully the new title will give us a bit more prominence.”

The newly named club will continue to be based off Tewkesbury Road and are holding an Open Day on Saturday 6th April.

“It will run from 10am to 1pm and there will be a number of activities,” said Chadwick. “Families, adults and juniors are all welcome.”

Chadwick has been at the club since 2018 and he has certainly seen plenty of progression.

“We’ve got up to 110 members which is pretty good,” he said. “I’ve got 25 juniors in coaching, three of those are members.

“The club is building up but it takes time.”
