Congratulations are in order for two members of East Glos Club

Junior member of East Glos Club Aaron Osmond, aged 16, has had a phenomenal run of successes since August.

Amazingly, in his last 31 singles matches in grade three tournaments he has lost just one match.

Aaron’s success just keeps going with a win at the Bath Open Men’s Fast 4 event.

And it doesn’t stop there.

He has won seven out of eight grade three tournaments, three at under-18 and four Open Men’s titles.

That’s right – despite being an under-16, Aaron is playing under-18 and Open Men’s.

Aaron is not only talented at tennis though.

He is equally committed to his studies, achieving 11 A* grades, two A grades and a B at GCSE at Dean Close School.

Josh Day is another member worth congratulating as he is taking up an exciting new opportunity with Kiwi Tennis in New Zealand on an initial six-month contract.

Having been a junior club member at the club, Josh started as the club’s first ever tennis apprentice in January 2015.

Since then he has completed his Level 2 and Level 3 coaching awards.

Extremely committed to all things tennis, Josh has turned his hand to many activities including training and delivering in the Tennis 4 Kids and Team Challenge Lawn Tennis Association initiatives, and developing and running junior box leagues.

He has also found the time to work on reception and the bar as well as helping out with the grounds team.

Is there anything that Aaron and Josh can’t do?
