The Cheltenham and District Rugby Combination’s end-of-season cup finals day will take place at Stow-on-the-Wold on Saturday 2^nd May.

The winners of the Senior Cup, Junior Cup and Minor Shield will all be decided and the Combination’s competitions secretary Mark Spreadbury is looking forward to a great day.

“It should be really good,” he said. “There will be three games and they’ll be played on a bank holiday weekend.”

The draw was made in mid-September and, in a move to ease the end-of-season fixture congestion, matches can be played throughout the upcoming campaign rather than just in April and May.

Cheltenham Saracens have already won 32-22 at Cheltenham Tigers in the first round of the Senior Cup and will now host the winners of the Tewkesbury/Old Patesians first-round tie in the last four.

The Combination have set deadlines for all games to be played. 

Cheltenham Combination draws - Senior Cup first round: Cheltenham Tigers 22 Cheltenham Saracens 32; Tewkesbury v Old Patesians; Stow-on-the-Wold v Smiths (both ties to be played by Tuesday 31st March). Bye, Cheltenham North.

Semi-finals: Cheltenham Saracens v Tewkesbury/Old Patesians; Stow-on-the-Wold/Smiths v Cheltenham North (ties to be played by Tuesday 14th April).

Junior Cup first round: Cheltenham Tigers 2nds v CCS Warpigs; Stow-on-the-Wold 2nds v Tewkesbury 2nds (ties to be played by Wednesday 1st April). Byes: Cheltenham North 2nds, Old Patesians 2nds.

Semi-finals: Cheltenham North 2nds v Old Patesians 2nds; Cheltenham Tigers 2nds/CCS Warpigs v Stow-on-the-Wold 2nds/Tewkesbury 2nds (ties to be played by Wednesday 15th April).

Minor Shield first round: Cheltenham Saracens 2nds v Cheltenham North 3rds; Smiths 2nds v CCS Warpigs 2nds; Cheltenham Tigers 3rds v Old Patesians 3rds. (ties to be played by Thursday 2nd April). Bye: Gloucestershire Police.
