This season’s Cheltenham and District Rugby Combination cup finals day will take place at the beginning of May.

Combination stalwart Bob Ellis confirmed that the annual end-of-season spectacular, which features three finals, will take place next year on Saturday 2nd May.

Ellis said the venue had yet to be decided for an event that has been hosted in recent times by Cheltenham North, Cheltenham Saracens and Cheltenham Rugby Club.

Last season’s finals day took place at Newlands at the end of April and saw the three trophies shared around between three clubs.

Cheltenham won the Senior Cup, beating Old Patesians 2nds 65-20, while the Junior Cup was won by Cheltenham Civil Service, who eased to a 51-34 win over Cheltenham 2nds.

The Minor Shield was won by Old Pats 4ths who overcame Smiths 2nds 44-17.
