England rugby star Ceri Large to coach girls’ training sessions at Hucclecote

If you want to take up a new sport it’s always that little bit easier if you can learn from someone who is one of the very best.
And that’s the opportunity Hucclecote Rugby Club are offering to any wannabe girl rugby players over the next six weeks.
The go-ahead club are offering six weeks of free training with top player Ceri Large, who has played some 50 games for England.
The first training session is at the club tomorrow (6.30-7.30pm) and the club are particularly keen to recruit players aged 12 to 18.
“Even if you’ve never played rugby before but you enjoy keeping fit, being part of a team and having a laugh with your friends, this is for you,” said a spokesman.
“If you are aged 11+ and want to come along to Hucclecote Rugby Club and see what all the fun is about, you’d be very welcome. Just send us a message to let us know to expect you and by all means bring a friend.”
The sessions aren’t just for players new to the sport – anyone is welcome – and anyone outside the 12 to 18 age group who wants to play rugby should get in touch with Helen on 07813 718086 or hucclecotegirls@hucclecoterfc.co.ukCopyright © 2024 The Local Answer Limited.
