Three games and plenty of tries as the North Gloucestershire Combination Junior Cup got under way last night.

Longlevens led the way, defeating Brockworth 40-21 in a high scoring encounter.

Coney Hill, whose first team squeezed into the last four of the Senior Cup on Tuesday, weren’t far behind as they won 37-0 at Gloucester Old Boys.

And Matson, whose flagship team are having such a fine season, are also through to the second round after overcoming Spartans 29-7.

Tonight sees the start of this season’s Glanville Cup.

All three finals will take place at Kingsholm on Sunday 12th May.

Last night’s results: Matson 29 Spartans 7; Gloucester Old Boys 0 Coney Hill 37; Longlevens 40 Brockworth 21.
