Coney Hill edge past Old Cryptians in North Gloucestershire Combination Senior Cup

Coney Hill are through to the last four of this season’s North Gloucestershire Combination Senior Cup – but it was so close against Old Cryptians.
The home side went through on tries scored after the match ended 24-24 last night.
It was almost as close at Gloucester Old Boys where Brockworth pulled through 15-12 although the scoreline was a bit more one-sided at Longlevens where Matson triumphed 34-0.
Last night’s results: Gloucester Old Boys 12 Brockworth 15; Coney Hill 24 Old Cryptians 24 (Coney Hill go through on tries scored); Longlevens 0 Matson 34.
The draw for the next round – plus the two other cup competitions – will take place on Thursday night at Gloucester All Blues after their Glanville Cup first round tie against Matson.
Tonight sees the Junior Cup take centre stage before the Glanville Cup games on Thursday.
All three finals will take place at Kingsholm on Sunday 12th May.
Fixtures, tonight – Junior Cup first round: Widden Old Boys v Hucclecote (cancelled, Widden withdrawn); Gloucester Old Boys v Coney Hill; Old Richians v Old Cryptians (cancelled Old Richians withdrawn); Longlevens v Brockworth; Matson v Spartans. Byes: Old Cents, Chosen Hill, Gordon League.
