Cainscross, who are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year, will host the final of the Stroud and District Combination’s Bill Adams Trophy in just over a couple of months’ time.
The final is on Saturday 13th April (kick-off 3pm) and there could be some local interest that day because Cainswick – a combined second team made up of players from Cainscross and Painswick – have been given a bye into the semi-finals where they will play Tetbury.
Last season’s winners of the competition, Cirencester 3rds, travel to Dursley 3rds in a preliminary round tie.
Those two clubs – Cirencester and Dursley – will contest the Senior Cup final at Painswick on 20th April (kick-off 3pm) with cup specialists Dursley chasing a fifth successive win.
The finals of the Junior Plate and the Junior Cup will both take place at Cirencester on 27th April, with the Junior Plate final starting at 1.30pm and the Junior Cup final kicking off two hours later.
Junior Cup holders Fairford must travel to Cirencester 2nds, who won last season’s Junior Plate, in the first round of this year’s competition.
