Old Patesians and Cheltenham North may meet in this year’s Cheltenham and District Combination Senior Cup

The two clubs will meet in the semi-finals of the district’s premier knockout competition if the Pats 2nd XV can overcome Smiths in a first-round clash at the end of March, not that that is a given of course. The North, meanwhile, have a bye into the last four.
The other first-round tie sees cup holders Cheltenham host Bredon Star with Cheltenham Saracens awaiting the winners in the last four.
Cheltenham’s 2nd XV, meanwhile, the holders of the Junior Cup, have a bye into the last four where they will play the winners of the first-round clash between Old Pats 3rds and Norton.
The other first-round games see Cheltenham Civil Service host Cheltenham North 2nds while Tewkesbury travel to Cheltenham Saracens 2nds.
Gloucestershire Police will entertain Cheltenham 3rds in the first round of the Minor Shield with Smiths 2nds awaiting the winners in the last four.
The other first round ties see holders Old Pats 4ths travel to Cheltenham Civil Service 2nds and Tewkesbury 2nds host Cheltenham Saracens 3rds.
The finals of all three competitions will take place at The Newlands, home of Cheltenham Tigers, on Saturday 27th April.
Full draw – Senior Cup, first round: match A, Old Pats 2nds v Smiths (26th March); match B, Cheltenham v Bredon Star (27th March). Semi-finals: winner of match A v Cheltenham North (16th April); Cheltenham Saracens v winner of match B (16th April). Final: at The Newlands (27th April).
Junior Cup, first round: match A, Cheltenham CS v Cheltenham North 2nds (2nd April); match B, Old Pats 3rds v Norton (3rd April); match C, Cheltenham Saracens 2nds v Tewkesbury (4th April). Semi-finals: winner of match B v Cheltenham 2nds (17th April); winner of match C v winner of match A (17th April). Final: at The Newlands (27th April).
Minor Shield, first round: match A, Gloucestershire Police v Cheltenham 3rds (9th April); match B, Tewkesbury 2nds v Cheltenham Saracens 3rds (10th April); match C, Cheltenham CS 2nds v Old Pats 4ths (11th April).
