Gloucester stars make it a special day for the youngsters at Lydney

Gloucester stars rubbed shoulders with the next generation of players from Lydney on a special day at Regengsholme.

Gloucester legend Terry Fanolua, who is now the club’s Rugby Development Manager, brought eight Cherry and White players to join his community rugby team and share their knowledge with the minis and juniors at Lydney.

Charlie Sharples, Henry Purdy, Ruan Dreyer, Gareth Denman, Gareth Evans, Jaco Kriel, Tom Marshall and Tom Savage were on hand to join the sessions with the young players and their coaches from under-7s through to under-13s age groups.

Ceri Large, the England World Cup winner, current Gloucester-Hartpury player and Forest of Dean RFU Community Rugby Coach, was also on hand to deliver expert support and training to the youngsters.

And after the fun training session was over, the youngsters got to interrogate their heroes with a Q&A session before the photos and autographs wrapped up the session.
