While Gloucestershire braces itself for the Beast from the East, Coney Hill are still celebrating being the best in the West in this season’s RFU Intermediate Cup.

They laid claim to that title after their thumping 65-17 Western Counties final win over St Austell on Saturday.

They now travel to Windsor in the South West Division final on Saturday 17th March and are just two games from their first ever game at Twickenham.

If they overcome Windsor, Coney Hill will face the winners of the London and South East Division final between Camberley and Charlton Park for a place at Twickenham.

Coney Hill ran in 10 tries against St Austell with Toby Eaton leading the way with four touchdowns and Dwayne Burrows not far behind with three.

There was one apiece for Jack Paterson, Tom Anderson and Craig Greer. Tom Davies slotted six conversions and a penalty.

Windsor, who play in Southern Counties North, booked their date with Coney Hill after an impressive 17-8 win at Beaconsfield on Saturday.

Beaconsfield lead the way in Southern Counties North with Windsor two places and 14 points below them having won 12 and lost four of their 16 league games.

Windsor’s most recent league outing saw them win 61-0 at Stow-on-the-Wold.

The final of this year's RFU Intermediate Cup takes place on Sunday 6th May at Twickenham.
