Hartpury have signed three players on loan from fellow Greene King IPA Championship side Bristol.
All three will add depth to Hartpury’s back division.
Two of the players, George Perkins and Sam Bedlow, are already training with Hartpury and both have played against the Red and Blacks in recent seasons.
Centre Bedlow represented Fylde while on dual registration from his former parent club, Sale Sharks. He has also played rugby with South African side the Eastern Province Kings, representing their Under-21 side in the 2015 Under-21 Provincial Championship.
Perkins appeared against Hartpury for Old Albanians, also while on dual registration, in his case from Premiership giants Saracens. A rapid wing three-quarter, Perkins has represented England at U20 level and has also appeared for Bedford Blues.
The third member of the trio, Aaron Chapman, is currently with England U20s and is expected to join up with the squad within the next two to three weeks.
Also a winger, Chapman is in his first season within the Bristol Rugby Academy set-up, under the guidance of former Hartpury college coaches Mark Irish and Sean Marsden.
Hartpury director of rugby John Barnes said: “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to add these exciting young players to our squad, and we look forward to seeing them feature over the remainder of the season. We would like to sincerely thank Bristol Rugby for their co-operation.”Other Images
