Fairford and Painswick triumph in Stroud and District Rugby Combination cup finals

Fairford won the Stroud and District Combination Junior Cup in thrilling style with a last-gasp 19-18 win over Stroud 2nds at Cirencester on Saturday.

The Gloucester Three side’s victory at Cirencester followed Painswick’s win in the Junior Plate a couple of hours earlier.

Again it was a case of a club’s first team just getting the edge over a rival’s second team with the Gloucester Two team defeating Dursley 19-10.
