Naunton Downs Ladies’ Open is a big success

Naunton Downs Ladies’ Open day is always a very special occasion for the club and this year it was just that bit more special as the club are celebrating their 25th anniversary.

The club played host to 90 ladies from clubs as far away as Leicester, such is the popularity of this annual event.

The weather was good – not too hot – and certainly not too hot for the cakes at halfway which are always greatly appreciated by playing members!

The format of the day was best the best two scores to count and the winners – from The Worcestershire – came in with a massive 95 points, beating the next team by 11 points.

The prizes were presented by vice-captain Linda Seaton who thanked everyone who had helped on the day.

She also announced the raffle had been well supported and had raised £243 for the lady captain’s charity – North Cotswold Food Bank.
