Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Thursday, 22nd June 2017, 11:20
Forest Hills Golf Club’s 25th anniversary celebration day was “fantastic”.
So says Alison Breton, who owns and runs the club with her husband Ed.
An 18-hole stableford competition, which attracted 130 entries, preceded a party at the clubhouse in the evening, which was attended by about 170 people.
“It helped that the weather was so good,” said Alison, “but there was a really good turnout and the atmosphere was so warm and friendly.”
Stableford results – Combined pairs winners, Mike Simmonds/Matt McGirr 76pts; runners-up, Corinne Clarke/Clive Skinner 76pts.
Men’s handicap 0-9 winner, Simon Killon 38pts; runner-up, Steve Thomson 37pts; third, Mike Burris 37pts.
Men’s handicap 10-18 winner, Kevin Burford 40pts; runner-up, Roger Hall 39pts; third, Brian Levy 37pts.
