Cheltenham Town head to Bishop's Cleeve for a pre-season friendly and former Gloucester City midfielder Harry Pinchard is hoping to make an impression

Harry Pinchard is hoping to get 45 minutes when Cheltenham Town play their opening pre-season friendly at Bishop’s Cleeve tomorrow (7pm).
The 23-year-old, who was with Gloucester City last season, is currently on trial with the League Two club and is looking to make an impression.
The left-footed midfielder – he prefers to play in the centre – had two years at Gloucester and is relishing the opportunity he has been given at Cheltenham.
“It’s brilliant, I’m enjoying it,” the one-time Cardiff City scholar said. “I’m enjoying the experience even though it’s hard, the running has been real tough.
“I’ve been part-time for four years, it’s a step up in intensity and in tempo.”
Pinchard, who was born in Chepstow, was with Hereford before linking up Gloucester, who missed out on promotion when they were beaten by Totton in the Southern League’s Premier Division South play-off final in May.
Gloucester have since appointed Dafydd Williams as their new manager and Pinchard continued: “I spoke to Daf and said I’d love to play for him but when the Cheltenham opportunity came up I told him it was too good to turn down. Hopefully it all goes well.”
Bishop’s Cleeve, who play in Division One South of the Southern League, are hoping for a big turnout tomorrow evening.
Paul Collicutt’s team had their first pre-season friendly on Tuesday, beating Hereford Pegasus 8-3 at Kayte Lane.
