Tewkesbury Royals book place in Cheltenham Premier T20 play-offs alongside Bourton Vale Vikings, Hatherley Hurricanes and Dumbleton Dynamite

Tewkesbury Royals are through to the play-offs of the Cheltenham Premier T20.
They defeated Cheltenham Civil Service Sixers by 91 runs last night to book their place in the last four, alongside Bourton Vale Vikings, Hatherley Hurricanes and Dumbleton Dynamite.
The top three had already booked their places in the play-offs before this week's final round of group games but Tewkesbury went into the game at Gander Lane knowing they still had work to do.
Any nerves they may have had were soon calmed by in-form opening batsman Josh Richards, however, as he hammered 89 from 46 balls to help set up their imposing 203-3.
University of Gloucestershire Giants were the only team who could have prevented Tewkesbury finishing in the top four but they were beaten by 54 runs by Bourton after the home side made 185-6, helped in large part by opener Musa Twala’s 90 from 58 balls.
Bourton, in their first season in the competition, finished on top of the eight-strong group and will now host second-placed Hatherley in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday for a place in next month’s final.
Hatherley, the competition’s inaugural winners, ensured they claimed runners-up spot by overcoming defending champions Dumbleton by 19 runs last night.
Spinner Joel Price took 5-37 as Dumbleton were dismissed for 169 in the final over.
Dumbleton will now entertain Tewkesbury in Eliminator 1 on Tuesday with the winners playing the losers of the Bourton/Hatherley tie on Tuesday 8th July for a place in the showpiece final.
The final will be played at Cheltenham College on day two of the Cheltenham Cricket Festival on Friday 18th July.Copyright © 2025 The Local Answer Limited.
