Bourton Vale Vikings to launch defence of their Cheltenham Premier T20 title early next month

Bourton Vale Vikings won the Cheltenham Premier T20 final at Cheltenham College last year

Bourton Vale Vikings will begin the defence of their Cheltenham Premier T20 crown with a home group game against Tewkesbury Royals.

The match, which will be played on Tuesday 5^th May, will be a rerun of last season’s final at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival, a game Bourton won by 23 runs.

Six teams will compete in this season’s competition with Hatherley Hurricanes, Dumbleton Dynamite, Charlton Super Kings and Cheltenham Spartans the other four sides taking part.

Each team will play seven group games with the top four going through to the play-offs.

This year’s final will take place at Hatherley and Reddings on Friday 24^th July.

The inaugural competition was won by Hatherley Hurricanes in 2023. Dumbleton Dynamite won it the following year and Bourton Vale Vikings’ success last year was all the more impressive because it was the first time they had entered the competition.
