Wicketkeeper Craig Baker will captain Cheltenham Civil Service next season

Craig Baker will captain Cheltenham Civil Service Cricket Club in 2019.

The 28-year-old wicketkeeper/batsman, who led the side from 2013 to 2016, takes over from his brother Robbie who has done the job for the previous two years.

Cheltenham Civil Service’s flagship team will again play in the Gloucestershire Division of the West of England Premier League, after winning promotion at the end of the 2018 season.

Meanwhile, Mark Febery will captain the club’s 2nd XI and the 3rd XI will be led by Dave Gearing.

Adrian Mayes, a top-order batsman in the Saturday 1st XI, will captain the Sunday side and another Saturday first-teamer, George Leadbetter, will lead the club’s midweek team.

The club will also play in the National Civil Service competition, a competition they won last season when they beat Bolton Civil Service by two wickets at Wolverhampton.
