Big punching teenager Jayden Price of Truth Boxing Club has a remarkable CV
Author: Roger Jackson, Posted: Monday, 8th June 2026, 09:00
Young boxing sensation Jayden Price was doing his maths homework when The Local Answer called.
He will take his maths GCSE exam next year but when it comes to his chosen sport, the 15-year-old has been passing every test put in front of him.
Jayden, who fights out of Truth Boxing Club in Gloucester, has built up a remarkable CV since transitioning to the sport at the age of 10.
His record is standout - 99 fights, 94 wins, with 88 wins in his last 90 contests, all by stoppage or unanimous decision.
He has defeated 32 national champions and captured a stack of major honours including being crowned Asian champion twice, four-times England champion, USA champion and achieving 27/27 Box Cup champion status.
No wonder he is regarded by many as the number one amateur boxer in the world.
As you’d imagine, Jayden, who lives in Abbeydale, is ambitious.
He’s not allowed to turn professional in this country until he’s 18 but he said: “The end goal is to be world champion, but in the amateurs there is still a lot more to win.
“I want to win as many national titles, world championships and Asian championships as possible.”
Jayden, who has more than 750,000 social media followers, says that Moses Itauma has replaced Tyson Fury as his hero. They are both heavyweights but when Jayden steps up into the senior ranks he expects to fight as a middleweight.
That’s still a while away, of course, even though his career is progressing at a rapid rate.
His rise has been so eye-catching that he has been signed by Sheikh Khalid of Bahrain, giving him the chance to represent Bahrain internationally and compete on some of the biggest stages in amateur boxing.
He flies out to Bosnia on Wednesday to compete in the Olympic Hopes tournament, which will be another big test.
“I still get nervous, there is always pressure on me,” said Jayden, whose dad Lee coaches him along with Amin Khan.
They are very proud of him and Lee said: “He can do it all. He’s very clever, he hits hard but he can box.
“He can box orthodox and southpaw, he can switch-hit and he can box off the front foot and the back foot.
“He’s very hard to hit cleanly because he’s so good at judging distance, he’s able to adapt his style to whatever is in front of him.”
The one-time Henley Bank High School pupil is these days privately tutored at Explore Learning in Gloucester Quays and he’s certainly learned a lot over the past few years.
Before stepping fully into boxing, he had already competed in around 220 fights across Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA and wrestling, earning the distinction of being ranked number one in the UK in all three disciplines.
Jayden, who is interesting major names such as Frank Warren and Misfits Boxing, is sponsored by Tewkesbury-based GT Window Products Ltd.
Anyone else who would like to support him can call Lee Price on 07718 135483.
