Clip To Go
With summer almost here, you can roam freely and listen to your favourite tracks or make hands free calls whatever you’re doing, thanks to the Clip To Go bluetooth speaker from Red5.co.uk. This portable, wireless audio speaker connects simply to a mobile phone or tablet, as well as other bluetooth enabled devices by pressing the connect button at the rear allowing it to be recognised and connected to with ease.
A respectable 10m range means you rarely lose connectivity and battery life is good. I had several hours of music play while decorating and it did the job well. Sound quality is good for a small inexpensive device and maximum volume is a lot better than I’d expected – heard well above the sound of drilling!
Thanks to the robust rubber construction, this device can also sustain repeat impact including when dropped or kicked. The built-in clip doubles as a stand so you can clip it on or place upright and use when sat down. A standard USB port is required for charging and the cable is included. For £14.95, I recommend this product and I’m still using it now!
Tread from Leatherman
Keeping it useful and proving that wearables aren’t only the stuff of big name tech giants such as Apple and Samsung, the Tread ‘wearable tool’ from Leatherman. Leatherman have cleverly combined 25 of the most useful tools and morphed them into a practical and stylish bracelet.
Available in black oxide or standard stainless steel, for between £130-£190 you can size this product to ¼ of an inch to fit any wrist. With a 25-year warranty if bought from Leatherman you’ll also get peace of mind.
The Tread incorporates allen wrenches, screwdrivers and box wrenches among many others utilised by simply folding the bracelet until taught, or removing elements and applying individually. While some seem to have sneakily made their way onto the market, official release is expected in August 2015. I’m definitely saving for this and can’t wait to get one.Copyright © 2025 The Local Answer Limited.
