Transcend Drivepro 200
CAUGHT ON CAMERA! No, not a reference to a minor traffic infringement or embarrassing moment. This month’s feature gadget is the Transcend Drivepro 200. This in car camera records in HD at 30 frames per second in seamless high quality video and audio (if activated). With built in wifi you can connect to a PC, phone, tablet and more to effortlessly download video files and share (or keep) via the app.

With a 2.4” driver facing LCD screen you can see what’s being recorded, and a built in G sensor detects impact and will automatically protect the preceding moments before a collision and immediately after. Seven glass lenses – with a 160-degree view and 1080p resolution – allow for pristine imagery in both daylight and darkness.

The Transcend Drivepro 200 retails at £75-80 and comes with a 16GB micro SD card, wires, windscreen attachment and guide. Setup is simple – connect, turn on, and go! Trust me, I bought one. This in-car tech serves as a reliable and effective means to evidence your actions and that of others, but beware – it’ll record your poor driving as well as your good!

Nano challenge
If you enjoy a brain game check out the Nano Challenge. This small fob that also attaches to your keys comprises six buttons that illuminate in sequences, which the user must replicate to progress to the next level. Each time the user punches the correct sequence, another light is added. Retailing for £5-7 this will pass the time and keep you entertained for hours – great for occupying the kids on a long car journey!

key finder
Are you the type of person to lose your keys all the time? The Key Finder, retailing at £4-6, is a small 4.6 x 2.6cm key fob that clips to your keys and will save the day when you realise you can’t find them! Simply whistle and the Key Finder will beep loudly until you close in. Be aware though, it can take a few whistles to get the Key Finder to recognise and respond, as it has only a 20m range.
