Fans of the finer things in life are in for a treat with the arrival of a new foodie pop-up in Nailsworth.

'Downstairs' is launching at Wilder, in Market Street, on Wednesday 22nd April. 

With a handful of wooden tables and a window bar to perch on, it promises four seasonal tasting boards featuring meat, fish, vegan treats and cheese.

Open from 6.30pm on Wednesday through to Saturday, diners don't need to book to enjoy a platter along with a glass of wine, cocktail or soft drink.

The new pop-up expands the offering of eight-course tasting menus at Wilder, which have proved popular over the last 10 years.

Chef owner Matthew Beardshall is keen to see how the space is received. He says the freshly renovated space feels like a natural next step.

He and his wife Hannah have remained fans of Nailsworth since opening Wild Garlic Bistro and Rooms back in 2007.

Following years spent cooking alongside chefs such as Marcus Wareing, Angela Hartnett and Gordon Ramsay, Matthew says the new spot will offer the same seasonal approach and attention to detail as Wilder.

Wilder will continue to offer its classic tasting menu at 7pm Wednesday to Saturday.
