A new history festival is coming to Cirencester this October half term. Enjoy local, national and global history, with talks by Jonathan Dimbleby, Natalie Haynes, Rev. Richard Coles, Dr. Janina Ramirez and Ronald Hutton. Family events include crafting, workshops, storytelling, cookery classes, and dressing up – all with a historical twist! Stroud Book Festival

This year’s book festival features over 30 events for adults and children. Highlights include Michael Rosen, Mark Cummings, Kate Mosse, Max Porter, Rachel Joyce, Ben Macintyre, Led By Donkeys, and Stroud’s own Dale Vince and Simon Opher MP. Children’s events include Michael Rosen (again!), Nick Sharratt, the Teddy Bear Ladies from TV’s ‘The Repair Shop’, and drawing workshops. stroudbookfestival.org.uk
