Lowly Gala Wilton pushed high flying Lebeq United all the way in the County League before going down 3-2.

All the goals came in the second half, with Gala going ahead in the 53rd minute when Ryan Dobins capitalised on a defensive error to run through and score.

Lebeq levelled on 61 minutes through Twaine Plummer and were ahead four minutes later through Rick Davis.

Plummer added a second with a back heel but Gala grabbed a consolation right on time, when a cross into the Lebeq box was pounced on by Adam Hemmings who volleyed home from 12 yards.

Frampton United made it five wins in eight games with a 3-0 win at Southmead CS Athletic. They went ahead after just nine minutes when Ryan Vincent netted from the penalty spot. The next goal did not arrive until the 72nd minute when Southmead were caught out at a free-kick and Vincent ran through to net his second.

The home side went down to 10 men in the 86th minute when Gary Booth received a straight red card for a foul tackle. United scored their final goal in the 90th minute from a free-kick that was met by Jack Bartman who headed home.

Henbury are not having the best of times at present and visitors Stonehouse Town took full advantage to win 3-1. They were ahead after just two minutes when Luke Soule swept in a low cross.

That was the start of a good afternoon for Soule as he went on to complete a hat-trick. The home side went 2-0 down on 20 minutes when Soule beat the offside trap to run clear and round the keeper for a simple tap in.
Henbury hit back and had chances to cut the deficit before Soule made it a treble top 11 minutes from time. Matt Bennett got a late consolation for the home side.

AEK Boco and Hardwicke had to be satisfied with a point each in a 1-1 draw at Greenbank. The home side were unlucky in the 12th minute when Jordan Scott had his effort cleared off the line.

Hardwicke lost striker Will Matthews on 15 minutes with a bad cut to his chin, but took the lead from a corner to the far post that was headed back across goal by Mark Carter, and then headed into the net by Glenn Gittins.
The home side levelled on 37 minutes when Jack Winter latched onto Luke Basseng’s through ball. Luke Sperring squandered a good chance to put AEK in front and in the second period the home side had most of the play but could not score.

Ruardean Hill Rangers were too strong for Rockleaze Rangers as they made home advantage count in a 4-0 win. Kane Fellows put them ahead in the 20th minute following in on Luke Johnson’s effort. Johnson struck the bar 10 minutes later but Ruardean had to wait until the 50th minute for their second, when Fellows’ shot came back off the bar for Shaun Tingle to knock home.

Three minutes later Tingle flicked the ball through for Luke Johnson to score and Tingle scored again on 69 minutes, this time it was Luke Brown who supplied the pass. Rockleaze finished with 10 men when Carl Lakey was dismissed for a second yellow card.

County League results: AEK Boco 1 Hardwicke 1; Gala W 2 Lebeq Utd 3; Henbury 1 Stonehouse 3; Little Stoke 8 Wick 0; Ruardean 4 Rockleaze 0; Southmead 0 Frampton 3; Thornbury 6 Patchway 1.

Les James League Cup first round: Hanham 2 Kingswood 2 (Kingswood win 2-1 on pens)
