Stroud Book Festival completes 2019 line up

The Stroud Book Festival has added a number of events and workshops to its line up.

These include the launch of ‘Down in the Valley: A Writer’s Landscape’, a series of autobiographical memoirs from Laurie Lee on his time in Gloucestershire.

Also on the schedule for the festival, which runs from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th November, is a workout with fitness guru Annie Deadman, a writing workshop with Katri Skala and several more poetry events.

“The state of our world is increasingly driving people to search for answers and analysis in books because books inspire trust,” said Artistic Director Caroline Sanderson on the Festival’s programme.

“And books are also a miraculous form of escape when we need one’. We hope you'll find all these qualities at Stroud Book Festival this year".

There will be over 50 events across the five days, and as well as a more diverse range of authors than ever before, the Festival is delighted to be partnering with a host of Stroud organisations this year, including Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Stroud Valleys Project, Lansdown Film Club, Stroud High School, Stroud Library and many more.
